On the coast, a mile south of Deal, Walmer Castle and Gardens is a Tudor artillery fort which, since the 18th Century, has served as the official residence of the Lord Warden of the Cinque Ports. The property consists of a castle, with a historic interior and collection, and eight acres of Grade II Listed gardens, with a wider estate of meadowland and beach.
The Learning Centre, designed by Adam Richards Architects as part of the Rediscovering Walmer Pleasure Grounds project, was opened in 2019 and serves local businesses, schools, and the community as a hub of learning and enrichment.
Businesses are able to book self-guided or guided tours of the Castle, make use of the Learning Centre and even try one of our wellbeing sessions, such as Forest Bathing or Laughter Yoga.
We can accommodate up to 40 people.
